Our vision:

Businesses will prosper and grow through engaging, impactful community involvement that leads the nation.

Our mission:

The CVC of Atlanta supports member companies to deliver business results through their strategic commitment to civic engagement and social impact.

The CVC of Atlanta is a network of local businesses that are passionate about volunteerism. Members join to share ways to address community needs through workplace volunteering. We provide resources to help businesses build strong community investment strategies and make a difference through service.

Originally formed in 1992 as the Metro Atlanta Corporate Volunteer Council, the organization incorporated as an independent 501(c)(3) organization in 1994 and grew significantly in preparation for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. The signature IMPACT Awards program began in 1999 to recognize excellence in corporate volunteerism and has awarded more than third of a million dollars to Atlanta area nonprofits to increase their capacity to leverage corporate volunteers.

The Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta connects and inspires businesses and volunteer leaders to make a positive impact on the Atlanta community. Our members represent a variety of roles ranging from corporate social responsibility and community affairs to human resources and marketing. Workplace volunteerism has long been viewed as an employee benefit, but it also has tremendous potential to impact serious social issues. Throughout the business community we raise awareness about corporate volunteerism and its benefits to companies.
