May is Mental Health Awareness Month!
You are invited to join the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta (CVC) for a special self-care workshop, sponsored and presented by Kaiser Permanente, Don't Let Your Heart Tip: Navigating Mental Health as a CSR Professional.
Program Overview:
While corporate philanthropy, volunteerism, and giving back to our communities are critically important, this work often takes a mental toll on corporate social responsibility and social impact professionals. Join the CVC and Kaiser Permanente for an informative and restorative session designed to address the balance between caring for our communities and preserving our own mental well-being. Led by esteemed Kaiser Permanente experts, this session will underscore the profound impact of a healthy mind and spirit on overall wellness. We will explore meditation, relaxation tools and techniques, good nutrition and more.
Our agenda includes:
10:00 a.m. Arrivals and Networking
10:15 a.m. Interactive Mindfulness Workshop with Brianna Goebel
10:45 a.m. Don't Let Your Heart Tip with Dr. Mary Pike
11:15 a.m. Healthy Cooking Demonstration with Chef Asata Reid
11:45 a.m. Closing Remarks
12:00 p.m. Adjourn

Before the program, participants should reflect on their motivation and purpose for leading and working in corporate philanthropy and volunteerism work. Participants will walk away from this program with tactical strategies to navigate and safeguard our mental health amidst altruistic endeavors. Guests will receive a special stress-reduction gift, courtesy of our friends at Kaiser Permanente!
This program is appropriate for corporate social responsibility (CSR), community relations, and nonprofit professionals of all skill levels. You are strongly encouraged to bring your team members and colleagues to this program.
