CVC Solutions Hours provide members an opportunity to learn about Metro Atlanta's most pressing challenges and innovative solutions. These hour-long programs are designed to offer members time to learn, grow and group problem solve.
Our Spring Solutions Hour will feature representatives from After-School All-Stars, who will share updates about how education and their model is evolving due to the pandemic. Speakers include:
Carlos Santini, Executive Vice President of Programs, After-School All-Stars
Lyndsy Green, Executive Director, After-School All-Stars Atlanta Chapter
Vanessa Waserman, Vice President of Development, After-School All-Stars
After-School All-Stars' (ASAS) mission is to provide free, comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and in life. Their vision for students is that they are safe and healthy, graduate from high school and go to college, find a career that they love, and give back to their communities. ASAS serves 90,000 youth annually in 60 cities (including Atlanta) through high-quality programs in five key areas, including academic readiness, health & fitness, career exploration, STEM, and visual & performing arts. ASAS intentionally serves youth in low-income communities in order to close the opportunity gap – 91% of ASAS students are youth of color, mostly Black and Latinx, and 82% qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program.
We look forward to seeing you online! Please feel free to invite colleagues. This learning session is appropriate for both new and long-time corporate/community practitioners.
