CVC members are doers. Supporting and caring for others is in our DNA. Over the years, we have learned that we are better together! Since 1992, CVC members have come together to share best practices and support each other in making more informed decisions about how companies and organizations can best support community.
As we proceed through these uncertain days where COVID-19 is affecting everyone, many are looking for guidance about how to help and manage. In response, the CVC is hosting weekly "Solutions Hour" phone meeting each Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
We will focus our conversations on identifying solutions for Metro Atlanta's most pressing needs and helping corporate and community professionals weather our current situation. We will also allow space for sharing ideas, identifying service gaps and more.
Education is important to all CVC members. In our annual member survey, we repeatedly see education highlighted as the number one community focus of companies in the Atlanta area. COVID-19 has had an impact on our students and the nonprofits that serve them. We will be joined by Phil Olaleye, Executive Director of Next Generation Men and Women, to discuss what they are doing to engage students virtually and how he sees this shifting the model for nonprofits and students as we move into postpandemic times. Read more about NextGen here.
This program is appropriate for all experience levels and for representatives of companies/organizations of all sizes. Please register if you plan to participate, and we'll send you the dial-in information.
