CVC members are doers. Supporting and caring for others is in our DNA. Over the years, we have learned that we are better together! Since 1992, CVC members have come together to share best practices and support each other in making more informed decisions about how companies and organizations can best support community.

As we proceed through these uncertain days where COVID-19 is affecting everyone, many are looking for guidance about how to help and manage. In response, the CVC is hosting weekly "Solutions Hour" phone meeting each Wednesday.

We will focus our conversations on identifying solutions for Metro Atlanta's most pressing needs and helping corporate and community professionals weather our current situation. We will also allow space for sharing ideas, identifying service gaps and more.

Taproot Foundationa leader in corporate pro bono service, will join the Corporate Volunteer Council on Wednesday, May 27 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. ET for a Solutions Hour presentation examining how companies can harness virtual pro bono to support nonprofits and maintain employee engagement during these uncertain times.

During this interactive session, Taproot will:

  • Share insights on nonprofit needs as a result of the Covid-19 crisis,
  • Provide best practices for converting existing programs to a virtual setting and recommendations for engaging your employees,
  • Facilitate a discussion with local partner, LexisNexis Risk Solutions on how the company is leveraging its Cares Pro Bono programs to maintain engagement with their employees while supporting the company’s nonprofit partners.

You’ll walk away with new insights on how pro bono service can engage your employees and support your nonprofit beneficiaries during this crisis and beyond. You can find information on Taproot’s Covid-19 response HERE.

This program is appropriate for all experience levels and for representatives of companies/organizations of all sizes. Please register if you plan to participate, and we'll send you Zoom information.
