CVC Q3 Meeting - Building Momentum During Polarizing Times Through Employee Engagement (Wednesday, August 19, 2026)

You are invited to the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta (CVC) Q3 meeting scheduled for Wednesday, August 19th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ryan Companies' Galleria location. Our topic is "Building Momentum During Polarizing Times Through Employee Engagement."

We know your schedule is busy. So this time, lunch is on us! Please note our start time for the program is a little different than usual (11:00 a.m.).

Featured Speakers:

The program will feature Janelle St. Omer, Chief Impact Officer from Visit.org. Janelle is traveling down from Canada to share global trends that help foster positive work environments, and then she'll guide our expert panel in discussion. Panelists include:

Monica Garrett, Director of Community Relations, LexisNexis Risk Solutions

Catherine Stranberg, Senior Impact Manager, Inspire Brands Foundation

Matt Turner, Vice President of Global Social Impact, Otis Elevator Company

Program Overview:

Polarization is changing the workplace. How can corporate citizenship leaders keep employees connected, engaged and committed to purpose when social issues increasingly divide us? Our speakers will share examples that are positively impacting their work environments.

This is a conversation our members asked for. This topic was highly ranked in our annual member survey and brings together four respected social impact leaders to tackle familiar challenges and opportunities of employee engagement in a polarized environment.

Come ready for an honest conversation! CSR leaders are uniquely equipped to create community and bring people together. It's our superpower! Hear how leading brands are navigating tension, creating meaningful opportunities for employee engagement, and building momentum for social impact.

This session is appropriate for new as well as advanced social impact practitioners. You are welcome to invite colleagues, but please be sure to include them in your registration.

Ryan Companies is hosting us at 200 Galleria Parkway, SE, Atlanta, GA 30339 (look for the Racetrac sign). Parking is available in the lot behind the building (see map below), and we suggest business casual attire. Many thanks to Ryan Companies for providing meeting space for our program. For the 29th year, the IMPACT Awards provide a time for Metro Atlanta's business community to come together to celebrate excellence in corporate social impact and civic engagement.
