Why is Corporate Volunteerism important?

Studies have shown that if employees frequently participate in company-sponsored volunteer programs, they are more likely to feel a strong connection and sense of belonging at work.

It is becoming increasingly more important to employees, stockholders, and customers that companies are good corporate citizens by making decisions and investments in the communities in which their employees live and work, and all over the world.

From a Fortune 500 Company to a small start up, volunteerism creates a discernible difference for companies interested in driving the "double bottom line", and making both a business and a social return.
